How to Use LUTs and Add Them to Your Project:
Download and Install:
- Download the Cinemagic LUTs from my website.
- Unzip the file and save the LUTs to a location on your computer.
Import LUTs into Final Cut Pro:
- Open Final Cut Pro.
- In the Effects Browser, find the Custom LUT effect under the Colour category.
- Drag the Custom LUT effect onto your clip in the timeline.
- In the Video Inspector, click the LUT dropdown menu and select “Choose Custom LUT.”
- Navigate to the location where you saved the LUTs and select the desired LUT.
Import LUTs into Apple Motion:
- Open Apple Motion.
- Add a new layer to your project and apply the Colour Lookup Table effect from the Filters tab.
- In the Inspector, click the “Choose File” button and navigate to your LUTs folder.
- Select the LUT you want to apply.
Adjust Settings:
- Once the LUT is applied, use the available sliders and options to fine-tune the intensity and look of the LUT to match your project’s style.
Preview and Export:
- Preview your footage to ensure the LUT enhances your video as intended.
- Make any additional colour corrections if needed.
- Export your project and enjoy the cinematic look!
